Sighting Text:
AL LAUDERDALE 1980 TR#82 * From the Internet, CapnnBlack@aol.com I came across this jewel while reviewing the new reports posted since October 1, 1998. This may be a hoax and it may not. There are several things I'm sure Regan will find interesting. 1. The Bigfoot attacks after the witness fires a shot in the air. 2. The dog doesn't run and cower as in most reports with dogs. 3. The witness in his story doesn't tell the parents about the incident out of fear of not being allowed to play in the woods again. This isn't normal behavior for a rural family. They are generally closer than urban families but the kids will try and hide their mischief which is harder because everybody knows everybody else’s business. 4. There's no contact information available. 5. Did the witness wound the Bigfoot with his shot at him. Why did the Bigfoot run off? 6. The report by the witness appears to be genuine. COMMENTS: This event happened around 1980 in Lauderdale County, AL. My cousin lived near a large boy scout camp, and on weekends we would spend hours in the woods hunting small game, I recall one fall when my cousin refused to go in the woods. My cousin was large for his age, and I had never seen him scared of anything. Now, for the story, after some convincing my cousin stated this: A couple of days prior to my arrival he and his dog were hunting when all of a sudden a terrible smell came over the woods. Much worse than a decaying animal. He stated he then heard a grunting sound and limbs snapping off trees. He sat real still until the creature stepped right out in front of him. He described this creature as at least eight feet tall, and very ape like. He states the ape screamed at him in a blood chilling tone, out of fear he states he fired in the air. He states the he tried to run, but the ape grabbed him and slung him down a ridge. He says he recovered and fired his rifle at the ape as it charged him. He states the ape then fled, as did he and the scared dog. I saw the marks from the roll down the hill. I talked him into going to this spot, and I should say I thought it was a hoax. Upon arrival I saw many broken branches, but the deciding factor for me was the dog. She whined and smelled the air in fear the whole time we were there. We left and never went back, nor did we tell our parents. They would of never let us play anywhere near those woods again. I should tell you we were possibly the only humans who ever went there, the camp itself was closed, of course we were young and trespassing, that only made it more fun.

Sighting Text:
AL NAUVEE 1990 TR#86 *4/1/99 andrew@tss.net (Andrew Peterson) Sasquatch@onelist.com Nauvee County, Alabama. In 1990 witness was having problem with something killing and eating his chickens. Late evening witness and friend sat in sage grass 300 meters away and did some predator calling with fawn distress varmint call. Nothing happened but at almost dark saw 150 meters away something walking just inside the woodline...it was on two feet. Shining a light, saw something step back. Shortly after using fawn call again, noticed musky odor. As the wind was at our back, something had moved behind, then let ourt a series of screams. Witness and friend got outta’ there. Three days later wife, son and self walking down road when a deer came running from the same area, stopped, looked back, and then they heard same series of screams, and the deer, rather than go back, ran within 20 feet of witness in the opposite direction from the screams. Later, during deer season, friend shot deer 20 minutes before dark. It ran into the woods, and we decided to return at first light (below freezing out). The next day walked 30 yards into forest and found dead deer on edge of pine thicket. Waiting until friend could come in three hours to help...we then walked back and noted the same stench as months before. The deer was gone. you could see where it and fallen, but was nowhere and there were no drag marks in the leaves. There are no known predators larger than coyotes or bobcats, and the deer weighed around 100-125 pounds. Something had carried it from the area 1.5 miles SE of Nauvee, Alabama.
